Advanced versatile artificiaAdvanced versatile artificial intelligence technologies and interconnected cross-sectoral fully-operational national focal points for combating illicit firearms trafficking

Ceasefire is dedicated to creating a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, cutting-edge, and adaptable approach aimed at significantly enhancing and expanding the operational capacities of EU Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in combating the pervasive challenge of cross-border illicit firearms trafficking activities.
Within Europe, firearms trafficking stands as a prominent facet of organised criminal endeavours. Ceasefire is committed to the development of a forward-thinking, all-encompassing, interdisciplinary, state-of-the-art, and flexible framework designed to empower EU LEAs in their relentless pursuit to detect, analyse, and curtail cross-border illicit firearms trafficking. The initiative introduces advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools tailored to this mission and establishes fully operational National Focal Points (NFPs). These endeavours are geared towards bolstering LEA operational capabilities while mitigating existing challenges related to organisation, collaboration, cross-jurisdictional coordination, trans-border cooperation, and information exchange.
